Silberstein finally received her trademark on July 7, 2020, and on Janu(the day the new "Ice Age" film was released), she tweeted a photo holding the trademark with the caption "No #Scrat in #Disney #IceAge 6." Silberstein won her 20-year battle for Scrat to be removed from "Ice Age," resulting in his very notable absence in "The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. The Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild - Official 'Smothering Us With Reasonable Advice' Clip Crash and Eddie dream of getting. She didn't have any success until 2019, when the Fox-Disney Corporation officially agreed to settle the case. Silberstein spent 18 years battling for the trademark in court and went to various news outlets to try to get the story out about who really created the character. According to Silberstein, Fox took notice of the character and repurposed it for use in the upcoming animated film "Ice Age" (via Disney Fanatic). Since this is heading straight to Disney+, it wont be receiving a theatrical release. Ivy Silberstein (a cartoonist and fashion designer based in New York) claimed to have created "a squirrel-rat hybrid animal" back in 1999. 'The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild' will be arriving exclusively on Disney+ on January 28, 2022. At a mere 82 minutes, the film doesn't overstay its welcome but it feels like the series is on the verge of extinction. His absence has to do with the long-running dispute over who actually created Scrat. However, the filmmakers are just going over old ground now and the slung-together story, predictable narrative beats and tired messaging don't help. It's not the most delicately rendered or smartly scripted of animations, yet there's still an appealing goofiness to its visual style and at least some of its trademark energy. The trio are assisted by Buck's old partner Zee (Justina Machado) as they tangle with megalomaniac dinosaur Orson (decent work from Free Guy's Utkarsh Ambudkar). Simon Pegg does return as the eponymous one-eyed weasel, who becomes a hero to pinheaded possum brothers Crash and Eddie (now voiced by Vincent Tong and Aaron Harris) when they run into him whilst exploring the Lost World. The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is a perfectly enjoyable entry in the Ice Age franchise with nice morals and comedy that doesn’t get especially grating. Most of the talented voice cast are gone, replaced with less recognisable names, which cheapens and confuses things. The sixth instalment in the Ice Age franchise, and the first to go straight to streaming, marks a sad turning point.
